1. Why did you join the mentorship program?
I wanted to find out more about what a mentor was and how mentors supported their mentee’s. I also wanted to know what was required of a mentor, and whether it was a path I wanted to pursue
2. Do you feel that your involvement has been a success?
Yes I got an understanding of the role, the expectations, the commitment required, and I also realised you can make things happen if you want to. I believe I was mentored, and I was also able to mentor others on the team.
I really enjoyed sharing and encouraging each other, seeing not only my progress, but the progress of others, its was good to know that there are other people who have a passion and desire for the things of the kingdom no matter what level they are at or regardless of their journey you can move forward.
3. What specifically has the mentorship program done for you?
It has helped me to think about what it takes to make things happen, the time, the commitment to yourself and others.
It’s helped me to see the importance of discipline and setting aside time if you want to achieve things.
It also helped me to see how important it is to think about things before you commit to them.
It has caused me to look at the programme I have been wanting to develop for some time and I believe it has now become more of a reality.
I also realised it is ok to have a mentor someone to journey with you and help you make your dreams a reality.
